The Franciscan Relief Fund was established by the Franciscan Friars in 2020 to bring food assistance to men, women, and children facing hunger during times of natural disaster, war, disease, unemployment or poverty.
Hurricane Melissa struck Western Jamaica as a Category 5 hurricane, bringing devastation to the poverty-stricken communities of Negril and Revival, where the Franciscan Friars serve those already in desperate need of food, education, and medical help. Our sisters, brothers and their
children in Ukraine are still facing hunger, homelessness and evacuation as this horrific conflict continues to rage on. We will continue to raise and send the funds every two weeks to help those who are still in desperate need of food, clothing, and medicine.
In the aftermath of one of the most cataclysmic earthquakes in history, we are witnessing a humanitarian crisis of epic proportions in Turkey and Syria. The Franciscan Friars on the ground need us to help them so they can help the frightened, shell-shocked, cold and hungry people of Turkey and Syria who lost everything in the earthquake.
